Emily and Jasper’s Wedding | Minnehaha United Methodist Church | Lost Spur Golf Club | Eagan, Minnesota

Emily and Jasper met in their freshman year at Carleton College in Northfield, MN. They were in the same student worship band and took some classes together and became good friends their sophomore spring term.

Jasper thought Emily was a nerd, and Emily thought Jasper was a goof. Jasper was the first to realize that he wanted to be more than friends, but it took Emily a bit longer to accept Jasper’s request to go on a date in the winter of their junior year.

After graduating from Carleton, Jasper followed Emily to San Francisco where she was starting her PhD program at Stanford. Starting life together in a new state brought has brought them closer together and started envisioning their future together.

Jasper wanted the proposal to be perfect, so he enlisted the help of Emily’s friend and college roommate, Jessica. Jessica lured Emily to her favorite beach at Half Moon Bay, California with the promise of watching the sunset. When they got there, they found Jasper with candles and a surprise. He performed a special version of “Love Story” by Taylor Swift rewritten just for Emily and proposed to her during the song.

The big day finally arrived and the couple had a beautiful wedding ceremony at Minnehaha United Methodist Church during which they performed a hymn on piano together.  Later, they celebrated with friends and family at Lost Spur Golf Club in Eagan, Minnesota.

I, along with my awesome second shooter, Ian had a blast capturing this couple, along with their fun wedding party and loving family. I am so happy to have been a part of their day.

Emily and Jasper, I wish you a lifetime of love, adventure (both small and large) and happiness together.

Lisa.
