Baby’s First Year: Julian’s Newborn Session

Julian Glenn is one of the cutest little babies I’ve ever met. I might just be a little partial though, since he just so happens to be my older brother’s first a baby boy. He was born as the end of November and boy is he sweet! Here are a “few” of shots I took for my brother, sister-in-law, and first nephew!

Oh, and this shoot went like many of my newborn shoots. He was awake almost the entire time. Joe and Kelly did everything right: they warmed up the house and fed him right before I arrived, but he didn’t want to sleep. So, we waited patiently until he changed his mind.

A Sweet Daddy Daughter Session

On an afternoon in early December, I had the pleasure of photographing my cousin David, and his beautiful daughter Addily. The air was crisp, but they kept smiles on their faces and we were able to get a lot of great shots. We finished only moments before the snow started. I love days like this. It was a wonderful way to wrap the year.

Baby’s First Year: Nora and Peter’s Newborn Session

What a beautiful weekend! I had the pleasure of photographing Liz and Ed’s sweet new babies, Nora and Peter. Their older son, James, is the same age as my daughter. He seems to be a pretty proud brother! But I think he’s not quite sure what to make of the yet, either. Aren’t they all so sweet?! I had a great time during this shoot. The babies were so happy, and I loved being able to get them outside. Welcome sweet babies!

A Fun Fall Family Session!

Oh how I love it when clients introduce me to new lovely locations to shoot. Jen had this park in mind and I was so happy when I arrived. Our session was near dusk. The sun was glowing it pretty autumn light, and the foliage added beautiful texture to the images.

Here are few from tonight’s session. It was a fun time chasing down Cal, a spunky toddler. He didn’t want to stop moving! And, little Abby was adorable and glad to pose and smile for me!

Alarica and Josh’s Wedding in Minneapolis

What a beautiful summer day, October 8, 2011, turned out to be! It got up to 83 degrees in Minneapolis! The weather has been crazy this year. When I arrived at Plymouth Congregational Church, I already knew it would be a special day. Alarica is a good friend of my friend and former bride, Katie. When I walked into the bride’s room, I saw a beautifully unique blue wedding dress. Alarica’s bridesmaids were dressed in a darker shade of blue. The day went fast. We were able to get a nice variety of portraits of Alarica and Josh, as well as a lot of the wedding party, family, and extended family. After the ceremony, it was off to Cedars Hall in Northeast Minneapolis. The wedding party was announced in, and the reception started with an invitation to the entire wedding party and guests to get up and dance. It was an exciting party, with lots of yummy food, and of course, cake.

It was a beautiful day to photograph this sweet family. Sara is my dentist, and she had George a month after I had Izzy. We talked every visit about a future photo shoot and I’m so glad we were finally able to do it! Here are a few of my favorites from the day.
