Hi, my name is Lisa and I’m the owner of Poppy Seed Photography. My first Nikon film camera was a 16th birthday present, a perfect answer to my lifelong love for photography.

When my husband and I got married, we put photography at the top of our priorities. I knew the images from the day would last much longer than the shoes I wore or the centerpieces on our reception tables. My husband remarked that he wanted photographs his grandchildren could look back on and appreciate. I agreed wholeheartedly.

I am continually inspired by a sparkle in my clients’ eyes, a small laugh, or a funny expression. I love to connect with my clients, put them at ease, have fun, and catch the moments between the poses. I’m also a mother to two little ones and I’m very happy and comfortable working with babies and children.  I can appreciate their schedules, challenges and moods.

I’ve been photographing weddings and families in and around the Twin Cities since 2005.
